Simone Biles
A gymnast Simone Biles captured her 20th World Championship gold medal, as Team USA won its seventh consecutive world championship in Antwerp Belgium on October 4. Simone Biles is by far the most decorated gymnast in history with 33 gold medals she has won at international competitions, as well as at the Olympics. Biles did an extremely challenging vault just three days prior the Olympics, which was the first time a woman performed before in the course of international competition. Biles II is now the title of the Yurchenko twin pike vault that was previously known as Yurchenko. At the end of her all-around event on the 6th October, the record-breaking gymnast will be competing at her very first international event in 2021. Simone was born in 1997 in Columbus Ohio Simone was taken away from the residence of her birth mother, who struggled with addiction and placed in foster care with her three siblings. His maternal grandfather Air Force veteran Ron and his wife, a retired nurse Nellie were able to step in and take responsibility for the children and who were officially adopted by Simone at 6 years old and her younger sister Adria. Simone as well as her siblings were taken in by their great aunt.
